Collective soul refers to thought-provoking poetry and writing projects that bridge
social gaps, bring knowledge to light and build relationships.
The Sacred Ceremonies project was born from a group of women seeking to
enhance their spirituality. Their religious backgrounds were varied, and their skills
were minimal. Underneath their skin, their spiritual expression breathed a sigh of
relief as they dipped into the collective soul. Trips to metaphysical bookstores, web
pages, magazine subscriptions, lectures and workshops became treasure hunts
for the spiritual keys to unlock their innermost beings. Once a month, they rotated
leadership and location, opening homes and hearts to one another. Twice a year
the group expanded to curious co-ed partners. Daughters, nieces and
grandchildren participated in a ceremony specially centered around girls entering
womanhood - something that most women, who were present that day, had not
experienced themselves. Sacred Ceremonies is a comprehensive resource of
cultural and sacred rituals for an individual, family, group or community. This
resource guide does not limit itself to any particular tradition, instead, it explores
possibilities from many sources. Detailed description of the elements of
ceremonies, such as symbolism, music, color, crystals, power animals and the
directions form the foundation and structure of ceremonies.
